I think that Michelangelo's work in the Sistine Chapel is beautiful. The colors are so vibrant and it seems like his paintings would surround you in the church. Its aslo amazing to think that he painted over 300 figures and this was not even his preferred medium.

I love Michelangelo's depiction of the last judgement. The different detailed parts that depict different stories is amazing to look and study.

I think it's really cool how he painted the columns to where they actually look like they're apart of the chapel. I also think the detail of this piece of work is incredible. I couldn't imagine having enough patience to even come close to doing something like this.

The Sistine chapel is the most famous form of art I have ever studied in my opinion. The precise detail, not to mention the fact he painted it all up side down, is just astonishing.

I find this very amazing. I can't imagine having to paint such detailed and large amounts and the fact that its on a ceiling and he had to lay on his back

Michaelangelo is a great painter. I think the fact that he painting the ceiling when he hates painting is great because he is really good at painting. I think it has alot of detail and shows his great talent.

I think it is amazing how he painted this while laying on his back. I wonder how he didn't fall off? This is so pretty and uses a large variety of art elements. I would love to see it in person.

I really respect Michelangelo for his paintings in the Sistine Chapel because it brings the Bible to life. But I really respect his courage for portraying the pope as a demonic figure to express his true feelings.

I love The Last Judgement painting. There are so many figures, and so much going on in the painting, but it isn't too busy.

Raphael used nine different scenes when he painted the ceiling, all from the book of Genesis. The Sistine Chapel is named for Pope Sixtus IV, who ordered its construction. Raphael didn't paint everything; the paintings on the walls, not the ceiling, were painted by artists such as Botticelli and Perugino. Personally, the ceiling was an amazing creation; one of the best in history.

The details look amazing but I don't understand why he put so much work into it when people won't be able to see all the detail without looking up close at it.

Michelangelo went far above and beyond what was expected or even asked of him in his painting of the Sistine Chapel, proving to himself and the world that he was one of the most talented Renaissance artists of all time.

Michelangelo painted over 5,000 square feet of frescoes in the Sistine Chapel. Before Michelangelo got commissioned to paint the ceiling, he was better known as a sculptor. He didn't have much painting experience prior to this masterpiece.

Though painting was not Michelangelo's element, he definitely challenged himself and showed what great talent he had. I loved the scene of The Last Judgement where he put the head of the pope on the body of the devil. This was clever and I never would have been as brave as Michelangelo to do this. This painting is definitely one of my favorites!!

Michelangelo hated painting, but saw it as a challenge from Raphael so I feel like he went above & beyond the expectations. It truly is a beautiful site. I would love to visit the Sistine Chapel & embrace in the beautiful artwork.

It amazes me that Michelangelo was able to paint all of the Sistine Chapel's ceiling in only 4 years due to the careful detail and the fact that Michelangelo had to constantly climb up and down scaffolding to make sure the proportions were correct. It truly is one of the most amazing art pieces ever created.

I honestly think that this is amazing, especially considering that painting was not michelangelos strongpoint. I think that it's crazy how it only took him 4 years to finish all of this all by himself.
