Picasso's painting, Guernica, was created during the time of the Spanish civil war. After the bombing of Guernica Picasso created a work that represented the tragedies of war and displayed the suffering civilians. Animals are also included in the painting that might be suffering like the civilians. Picasso uses black, grey, and white for his work. These colors may represent the sadness after the bombing and show the right and wrong of war.

Picasso said he couldn't express his emotions with color, so he painted these images in black and white. This painting serves as a protest against war and violence.

This painting seems like is cubinism but itts not. Emotions are evoked by the grey, black and white colors. This was painting right afte a war.

This painting shows Picasso's dark side. Instead of using his usual bright colors, he only uses dark colors to show the horrors of the Spanish civil war.
