The perspective and lines used in this painting make it appear more flat than paintings from the Renaissance. The paintings from the Renaissance appeared more life-like and less flat. I dont like the effect the perspective gives this painting because it seems like there is less detail and there are not as many shadows.

This painting is a lot more flat than those from the Italian Renaissance. Many paintings from the Italian Renaissance used strict linear perspective, which made everything look very normal and clean. I think that linear perspective looks much more impressive and precise, but I do kind of like this style. It gives the painting a funky feel.

Everything appears to be flat.It is definitely different than the renassance perspective, which was usually linear or atmospheric.

without perspective, this painting looks flat. I don't like it because it is difficult to find the focal point

The perspective is very flat. The faces do not look 3d at all. I dont really like thay the painter did this. I like it better when they look realistic. I dont like that none of the faces stick out and my eyes go straight to the wood block.

The lack of perspective does create a flat appearance compared to italian renaissance paintings. Also the crowded, busy nature of the painting is a contrast as well. There is not a true focal point nor a great contrast in color.

The perspective used in this painting makes everyone look flat. They are mostly in profile because of the lack of perspective.
