He was a pivotal figure in the transition from classicism to romanticism with his many symphonies, sonatas, quartets, etc. that inspired future composers.

Beethoven was a classical genius. He was a German composer and pianist and one of the most famous and influential of all composers. His best known compositions include 9 symphonies, 5 concertos for piano, 32 piano sonatas, and 16 string quartets. This specific work of music was the second movement in his symphony No. 9 in D minor. This was one of the best known works of the Western Classical repertoire. His hearing actually started to worsen around 1800 and when he died he was almost totally deaf, while unable to hear his music he still continued to compose music until his death. He was a very influential musician and led us from the transition to classicism to romanticism.

Beethoven has made many contributions to classical music. His works have more depth and complexity due to improved themes and motifs. He also contributed to music by expanding orchestras for his symphonies. This allowed for his works to become more dramatic and impressive. Beethoven also was a major figure in the transition from the classical to romanitc era.

Beethoven was a classical genius & is still looked upon as one of the greatest composers to ever live. Symphony 9 is actually one of his best well-known pieces. This specific piece is the first example of a major composer using voices in a symphony. Beethoven is still so relevant because he is still looked at to this day as an inspiration & many other forms of music have formed from this compositions. I personally don't enjoy this piece as much as some of his others. I enjoy slow, soothing pieces and this is very upbeat & a very fast pace song.

The 9th symphony, written by Beethoven is one of his best known works. Although Beethoven was deaf, he was one of the most influential composers of all time. This symphony has a well written shift from major to minor keys and is one of my favorite pieces

Beethoven was a musical genius, especially at playing piano. He was an amazing classical composer and took/developed that style into the romantic period.

Beethoven is a very influential person in music today, even though he died 185 years ago because his work is still relevant and that shows how amazing he was.

Beethoven was a critical figure in both the Romantic and Classical eras. His music combined elements from both periods, but more importantly, he changed many of the rules of music. His music was simpler than his predecessors, but still contained the beauty of previous music as well.

Beethoven is by far my favorite composer and this piece is my favorite of his. It used to be my ringtone...yes, I'm a dork. But anyway, his music is really so complex but it flows beautifully and doesn't sound too busy or confusing. Gotta love it!
