I think this statue is very cool because of the detail it includes. You can see pretty much every muscle in his body. I also like how this statue has become such an iconic symbol considering we have one here in Louisville.

Rodin used a lot of details in this sculpture. The viewer can see things such as his muscles, veins in his feet, and even his hairs are defined. This sculpture is made of bronze and located in Paris. It depicts a man in deep meditation, who is combatting his internal struggles

I believe that the thinker was a good example of modernism because modernism subjects were closely related to real life and the thinker depicts a man thinking. The thinker is quite realistic looking so that would add to the reason why it represents a modernism piece.

This Rodin work can be interpreted in many way but to me it depicts man's thoughts as they recall choices and plan to figure out what decisions they need to make in life.

The symbol of The Thinker represents human curiousity and the yearning for knowledge. We accept the fact that we don't know all the mysteries of the universe, but this statue shows that it is human nature to learn more and more about the world we live in every day.

The Thinker depicts a man in a powerful internal struggle. It is often used to represent philosophy. It was originally created to represent the poet Dante as he contemplated writing the Divine Comedy which the Gates of Hell was based. To me this statue conveys emotion and curiosity for knowledge. I feel complex and confused when I look at the Thinker because I wonder if I should view the world differently, such as Rodin viewed the world. Rodin's popular Thinker evokes our passion to question the world we live in.

The symbol of The Thinker represents to me a man who is pondering on what is in front of him in his future. The Thinker is a sculpture that is depicting a man thinking very hard on what god has for his future or what is in store for him he looks very studious to me so i think that he is probably pretty smart so what ever his thinking about he will probably figure it out.
