How can you see the enlightenment ideas reflected in this piece?
Each week you will select one prompt (from a selection of prompts to choose from) to blog about. This is done in lieu of bellwork and obviously will require a device. The prompts are longer than traditional bellwork prompts and may require research and/or creative projects.

It puts emphasis on normal people and their lives as compared to in the past where the focus would be on religious figures or people in the upper class.

This shows Enlightenment ideas because before most pieces of art focused on religious paintings. This shows just normal people on a normal day. Also not only are they normal people but theyre third class, the lowest class.

This piece is clearly of the enlightenment era because it focuses on the sin and evil ways of society. The skull in the forefront highlights death in the ways of the people.

In this piece it shows the struggle that the common people faced in Franxe during the Enlightenment period. You can tell through the lighting that they were in dark times but in the background it becomes lighter. This symbolizes how a new revival is coming.
